April to September 2005: Nurobot founder on various invited talks
Nurobot CEO and founder Kai O. Arras presents the results from a collaboration with the Autonomous Systems Lab, EPFL, and Daniela Cerqui from the University of Lausanne at various Universities in Amsterdam, Eindhoven, Freiburg, Boston, Pisa and Lausanne. They surveyed over 2000 people on the question whether they are ready to share their life and body with robots. A 40 page internal report has been published.

April 15, 2005: New website
This website goes (finally) online! Not complete yet but the missing parts will be added in a near future.

March 11, 2005: Collaboration with K-Team started
K-Team is the Lausanne-based robot company best known for the popular Kephera robot. The collaboration aims at a small-size-small-prize localization system using range data. It shall be employed on K-Team's Koala robots and available for sale in a near future.

March 6, 2005: Collaboration with "les roboteurs" started
The collective "les roboteurs" is a group of robophile industrial designers mainly based in Zurich and Basel. The project aims at smart furniture and a sensible coffee table in particular. This embodies our Things-That-Act concept.

February 16, 2005: Scientific award for Nurobot founder
Nurobot CEO and founder Kai O. Arras receives prestigious scientific award. He is finalist of the 2004 EURON Georges Giralt PhD Award with his doctoral thesis "Feature-Based Robot Navigation in Known and Unknown Environments". The work will now be published as a book in the Springer STAR series on Advanced Robotics.
